WHAT IS DEHYDRATED SKIN?
A dehydrated skin condition is often mistakenly confused with dry skin. While dry skin is genetically determined, dehydration is a temporary condition caused by a lack of water in the skin, which can be exacerbated by external factors. This condition often results from a damaged, permeable skin barrier that promotes moisture loss. As a result, the skin appears pore-fine, thin, and feels flaky or rough.
