How Two Brave Women Developed the First Effective Skincare in Germany
Düsseldorf, 1936. The young beautician Margarethe Sendler wonders why skincare creams "mostly have floral names but no indication of purpose or ingredients." How are women supposed to know which care is best for their skin? Together with her friend, the physician Dr. Bertha Roeber, she decides to take matters into her own hands.
With their combined expertise, they develop a completely new type of cream: targeted formulations, clearly stated ingredients, and well-defined effects. The birth of Germany's first effective skincare!
In a time of economic and political upheaval, Margarethe and Bertha establish their own cosmetics company: MARBERT.
